repTOP™ mouse models allow a direct visualisation of drug action in vivo, leading to a new perspective in drug discovery in which pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are combined. Thanks to the SATURN validation, readouts are stable across different tissues and organs, different ages and sexes. This means that the system is suitable for the detection of even subtle differences in drug action between the sexes, to study activity in elderly animals and to monitor effects during pregnancy and foetal life. Furthermore, crossing repTOP™ mice with human disease mouse models, including age-related degenerative diseases, allows direct detection of the efficacy of pharmacological compounds in such conditions.
